The 2nd New Moon, 4 of Pentacles

Nothing like moving in sequence, eh?  The 2nd New Moon for 2011 is today, February 3rd.  The first moon was the 3 of pentacles, the second is the 4 of pentacles.  I love the artwork on this card; dragons especially.

Fours  stand for structure, stability, or stagnation.  Pentacles are money, resources or the body.  The dragon, in eastern cultures, represent wisdom and power, many with magical abilities; bringing fortune and good luck.  Dragons are often seen guarding wealth, similar to what this guy is doing.  

The Shadowscapes site states:

Possessive, wanting to be in control, limitations, adversity to change, obstructing, denial of weakness

Well, February had an interesting beginning with the news of the Grist Mill's change in ownership, the uncertainty of my therapeutic massage career, and the unrest in the Middle East; yes, that will have a direct consequence here in the states.

I believe each card carries wisdom and a warning - for me, this moon, I need to use wisdom and discernment when it comes to our resources.  Hoarding limits ones ability to live and creates shackles and a cage.  Hoarding, for hoarding's sack, is dangerous.  I see February full of good things!
